The St. George’s Anglican Church has a long running breakfast program which helps feed those in need to ensure they can start the day in a healthy way. One of our club members is a member at St. George’s and brought the call to us. With the current economic challenges, the demand on the breakfast program is higher than ever and the program required an injection of funding to meet the need. The Port Dalhousie Lions Club is happy to provide a donation of $2,000 to support the 2023 breakfast program budget.

Donation to FACS Foundation – Summer Smiles
Summer Smiles camps can become invaluable experiences that children and youth remember forever. Camps allow children and youth to learn new things – about nature and the environment, about our world and about themselves. Camps give them a chance to develop social skills and leadership abilities, to try a new sport, and to boost their self-confidence. More importantly, camps give them a chance to just be themselves. The FACS (Family and Children’s Services) Foundation sends up to 400 Niagara kids to Summer Camp throughout the summer. Through our $1,000 donation, the Port Dahousie Lions Club is able to fund 4 children receiving a full week at camp through the Summer Smiles program!
